Facelift surgery or technically known as a Rhytidectomy, is a surgical procedure designed to hide the effects of aging by removing wrinkles. This procedure also can be performed singularly or in combination with other procedures such as Browlift surgery or Blepharoplasty (eye lid removal).
A SAFE AND EFFECTIVE PROCEDURE
A procedure involves the surgical refining of ageing facial features by placing incisions around the face. Incisions, carefully designed for maximum camouflage, are made behind the hairline of the temple, around the ear, and in the hair behind the ear. These incisions allow access to tighten underlying tissue, remove excess fat and reduce sagging skin. Since excess loose and wrinkled skin are removed so the profile and general appearance of the remaining underlying tissue and facial skin will look smoother and firmer. The result of the operation is a more natural youthful appearance.
A facelift operation will be performed in our private hospital facility under general anesthesia. The procedure generally takes 3-6 hours to complete depending on the specific nature of each patient’s procedure. Patients are free to go home shortly after the operation. They are asked to return within 10 to 14 days to get their sutures removed. Therefore, full recovery and final results are usually achieved within two to three months thereafter.
