My name is Alison and 12 days ago I had a breast enlargement and a breast lift in Bangkok undertaken by Dr. Pichet. Two years ago I had a breast enlargement. I was unhappy with the results. I felt that my boobs were still relatively small and they looked saggy (my nipples pointed towards my feet – not at all what I expected my boobs to look like. I was worried about paying all of this money again and worried that I could possibly be unhappy with the results of my breast operation again. After talking with some girlfriends they recommended that I explore the option of having my operation preformed in Thailand as they had heard many good reports from work associates and friends. I contacted many doctors both in Thailand and in Malaysia. Dr. Pichet was the ONLY doctor out of all of them who replied to me within 24hours and who personally answered my questions on the procedure – all of the other doctors had their secretary reply to me which I found very impersonal and not very reassuring. He was extremely knowledgeable and very, very reassuring. I read over all of his testimonials and decided that I felt the most comfortable with him. I booked in for my surgery on the Wednesday and flew into Bangkok that Sunday for my surgery – very quick I know!

I flew in from Sydney (Australia) and arrived into Bangkok at 2:00am on the Sunday morning. Dr. Pichet had arranged transport for my partner and I who picked us up at this un-god-ly hour and took us to our hotel. Once checked-in to the hotel I had enough time for a quick sleep but had to get up within hours as my surgery had been planned for that day (needless to say I did not sleep all that well).

Dr. Pichet arranged a driver to pick my partner and I up at 8:00am for an 8:30am appointment at his office. It was during the drive to the office that I felt physically sick with worry about what the hell I had gotten myself into. The usual questions were running continuously through my mind – What if I have made the wrong decision? What if I die during surgery? What if the hospital is not as high standards as in Australia? What if they don’t speak in English and they don’t understand exactly what I want? As I later found out, ABSOLUTELY none of this was the case!

On arrival at Dr.Pichet’s office I was blown away at how professional and advanced his office was – Far better that the office of the Australian surgeon who preformed my surgery two years ago! He had many staff working that Sunday morning all of which made a big fuss over me and made me feel as though I was in safe hands. My consultation with Dr. Pichet went for over an hour. He made me feel very comfortable and went into a lot of detail as to how my surgery would be preformed, the “pro’s and con’s” of my procedure and about what to expect over the next week or so in regards to pain and follow up appointments. I left the office at about 11:00am and was driven by his personal driver to the hospital.

The hospital was very clean and modern. The hospital staff were absolutely lovely and again made me feel very safe. My partner and I couldn’t believe how many nursing staff and doctors worked at the hospital . Dr. Pichet had approximately 4 or 5 staff members from his clinic accompany us to hospital – all of which stayed until after my operation had been preformed. The level of care that they all showed for my well being was unbelievable… it truly was. I was wheeled down to surgery at 4:00pm. Again I started to have second thoughts and was fearful that something bad would happen to me while I was in surgery. I was grateful the Dr. Pichet’s assistant called Ms Mao was there to comfort both me and my partner and she reassured me that everyone feels like that on their way down to the operating theatre.

I was worried from reading some of Dr. Pichet’s testimonials that I would wake-up feeling as though I was not able to breathe properly from the tight bandages I would have taped over my chest to keep my implants in place – this was not the case. When I woke up I felt a little uncomfortable but had no trouble breathing at all. Within 4 or 5 hours after my surgery I felt very sick but not in pain. I have always felt unwell following any operation due to the anesthetic, so I put this down to personal reasons (not a reflection of Dr. Pichet or the nursing staff). My partner stayed at the hospital overnight which was a huge comfort to me and the hospital provided him with a lounge to sleep on in my room.

Days following the procedure I felt uncomfortable but well enough to lay by the pool at my hotel. Within 48 hours after my surgery Dr. Pichet removed my bandages which gave me much relief although at the time I didn’t realize that they were causing me that much discomfort. After approximately 5 days I was able to walk at normal walking pace and able to do some shopping which was great!

For ANYONE considering using Dr.Pichet to perform plastic surgery - I CANNOT recommend him highly enough. There has been some negative media recently regarding Plastic Surgery in Thailand and I feel as though I owe it to Dr. Pichet to reassure you that it is safe and well worth the trip. I cannot speak for other plastic surgeons in Thailand, but I can speak from my experience with Bangkok Plastic Surgery (Dr. Pichet) and can honestly say that he is the “best of the best” when it comes to professionalism, care and knowledge. Definitely consider using him as your plastic surgeon – you will not regret it!
